Obama Budget Rigs Healthcare Numbers — The American, A Magazine of Ideas
February 5, 2010 – Now, from Ripley’s Believe It Or Not …. Montgomery County officials have just shut down a monthly BDSM (bondage, discipline, sado-masochism) party in Bethesda, Maryland. The officials shut down the “consenting adult” torture sessions – for violating city zoning regulations. The parties were considered a commercial enterprise in a quiet neighborhood.
The parties were sponsored by the National Coalition For Sexual Freedom, (NCSF) which apparently believes that true sexual enjoyment comes from whipping, beating and humiliating your sex partner – whether male or female.
The guy who rents the house and runs torture parties calls himself “Lucky Paul,” and the “pervert from the other side of the pond.”
Susan Wright, a spokesman for the torture group claims that the BDSM group is really a non-profit because any cash left over is donated to non-profit organizations – and members can volunteer to help cover costs.
Police Captain Paul Starks stated: “Making a donation to a charity, and then having consensual sex … that’s not against the law.”
Yes, I’m sure the BDSM group has a number of charitable groups it donates to after its members are released from their ball gags, chains, and dog collars. Perhaps they give to Torture for Tots during the Christmas season, to the Bondage Boys Club, or the Society For The Promotion Of Cruelty To Humans. Whatever.
Unfortunately, this kind of depraved behavior is becoming normalized in our culture. The American Psychiatric Association still lists bondage & discipline and sado-masochism as paraphilias (mental disorders), but the National Coalition For Sexual Freedom is hard at work to have these mental disturbances removed from the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual Of Mental Disorders in a future edition. After all, says the NCSF, these behaviors were added to the DSM for political reasons, not for scientific reasons. Sure. Anyone who crawls around on the floor wearing a dog collar and being whipped by a dominatrix is perfectly normal, right?
Washington Examiner discusses Obama’s conveniently planted “prayer” story -- just in time for the national prayer breakfast this morning.

I have been here in Washington for awhile and I have seen many National Prayer Breakfasts come and go. This morning, I closed my eyes and listened to President Obama’s address and heard what amounted to a lecture on how America needs to be more “civil.” But when I opened my eyes, I expected to be in some high school gymnasium in one of the primary states like Iowa or New Hampshire, a typical contrived campaign event.
These days Mr. Obama’s soaring rhetoric is running on empty as the American people have had a chance to shine a light on and examine his promise of change and transparency in government. We now have a President and government which is deliberately opaque not transparent. And things have changed but not for the better.
Now that Americans have had some time to ask questions of and examine Mr. Obama a little more closely, his polling numbers have gone subterranean (we should start drilling for oil that far down). And now that his numbers have tanked, Mr. Obama reminds us to treat him “civilly.” This from someone who has Rahm “I Thought Mother Was An Adjective” Emmanuel as his chief of staff and Rev. Jeremiah “I Never Met a Man I Didn’t Hate” Wright as his pastor.
President Obama argues for “civility” even as he pushes abortion and homosexuality with all of the muscle available to the federal government. While other Presidents have talked about appointing the “best and the brightest” to key posts, Mr. Obama offers us the “most extreme and least talented.”
Bottom line – the President talked about “civility” and then launched into a long finger-pointing diatribe against most Americans who do not share his support for homosexuality, abortion, big government, and out-of-control spending. And how do you talk about intolerance without mentioning Islam?
